Don’t postpone joy
I’ve been camped out here in Cherokee, NC exploring the people and place this week. Liquid sunshine has deterred plans, so I hunkered down and focused on creating something from almost nothing in Smokey Mountains National Park, inspired by Narnia. Most exposures where taken on a tripod with exposures ranging from 10-30 seconds. The lighting comes with special sauce compliments of the Strobist Pro Rosco Color Correction Gel Pack used in conjunction with some homemade snoots and video lights. Gels can be used to correct color… or create color. I prefer the latter.

Photographers: If you are feeling some burn-out due to the economy, I encourage you to do two things: share your heart & talent with your peers and pursue personal photographic projects with intent. They can be an hour in duration, or a year. Just shoot.
