Kat & BJ: Engaged

Before hiring me, I faced an important decision: am I available to shoot their wedding? As a wedding photographer, balancing vacation & business priorities isn’t an easy task. While I planned to ‘vacation’ at Burning Man for another inspirational experience, I couldn’t miss their wedding, as I had a wonderful experience photographing BJ’s sister wedding in 2007. Referrals are a huge part of how I find my happy clients.

The snow melted and sun peeked out just in time for their engagement session in Denver. As I handed them a box of macadamia chocolates flown fresh from Hawaii, they mentioned they brought their dogs to the shoot! Dogs and chocolate remind me of the simple joys of life. And we were off to a great time!

Seeing Kat & BJ connect and witnessing how easily he makes her laugh reminded me of one thing: I can’t wait to see their grins on their wedding day and I knew I made the right decision.wpid-bj_kat_engagement_1-2011-01-14-08-361.jpgwpid-bj_kat_engagement_2-2011-01-14-08-361.jpgwpid-bj_kat_engagement_3-2011-01-14-08-361.jpgwpid-bj_kat_engagement_4-2011-01-14-08-361.jpgwpid-bj_kat_engagement_5-2011-01-14-08-361.jpgwpid-bj_kat_engagement_6-2011-01-14-08-361.jpgwpid-bj_kat_engagement_7-2011-01-14-08-361.jpgwpid-bj_kat_engagement_8-2011-01-14-08-361.jpg
