Pastures of Plenty Wedding: Jordan & Cameron

Here’s a sneak peek of images from Jordan and Cameron’s wedding at Pastures of Plenty in Boulder, Colorado from last week. Both are interesting, creative individuals. Cameron is an adventure photographer and writer who shares his work over at Off Yonder along with editorial wonders at Elevation Outdoors. Jordan serves as a creative force behind the Anthropologie in Boulder. Two beautiful people I call dear friends, thank you both for trusting in me on your wedding day. I’ll never forget helping to tie your tie, Cameron, and seeing your Mom tear after she saw Jordan in her dress on the big day!

Enjoy your Alaskan honeymoon adventure together as a newly minted couple! Guests, be sure sign here to sign their online guest book by clicking here to view the rest of the photos.

While you may have seen this first photo dozens of magazines and weddings blogs {think Jose Style Weddings or Style Me Villa}, I created something a bit different featuring the Big Dipper in the background and a orange line of cloud vapor resting above Boulder, CO… two cool things we learned about in the Boy Scouts. Boys will be boys.wpid-pastures_of_plenty_jordan_cameron_01-2011-10-7-14-40.jpgwpid-pastures_of_plenty_jordan_cameron_02-2011-10-7-14-40.jpgwpid-pastures_of_plenty_jordan_cameron_03-2011-10-7-14-40.jpgwpid-pastures_of_plenty_jordan_cameron_04-2011-10-7-14-40.jpgwpid-pastures_of_plenty_jordan_cameron_05-2011-10-7-14-40.jpgwpid-pastures_of_plenty_jordan_cameron_06-2011-10-7-14-40.jpgwpid-pastures_of_plenty_jordan_cameron_07-2011-10-7-14-40.jpgwpid-pastures_of_plenty_jordan_cameron_08-2011-10-7-14-40.jpgwpid-pastures_of_plenty_jordan_cameron_09-2011-10-7-14-40.jpgwpid-pastures_of_plenty_jordan_cameron_10-2011-10-7-14-40.jpgLove this new lighting setup using an 5’ Octabank to perfectly balance the glow of a setting sun… looks 3D when viewed at 100% on a Cinema Display! So many fun little details blended perfectly with an environmental portrait… this is how I roll when it comes to the not-so-dreaded family photos.wpid-pastures_of_plenty_jordan_cameron_11-2011-10-7-14-40.jpgwpid-pastures_of_plenty_jordan_cameron_12-2011-10-7-14-40.jpgMy second-shooter Matt Steaffens nailed this shot… love the nose squinch!wpid-pastures_of_plenty_jordan_cameron_13-2011-10-7-14-40.jpgwpid-pastures_of_plenty_jordan_cameron_14-2011-10-7-14-40.jpg Cam and I camped together back in the days when we were high adventures guides for the Boy Scouts…. some 16 years ago. That was the time I burnt the roof of my mouth from the sun and craved nothing but gummy bears and beef jerky.wpid-pastures_of_plenty_jordan_cameron_15-2011-10-7-14-40.jpg

    RJ,

It was an honor and a pleasure to have you attend our wedding both as photographer and friend. I know it can be a tricky balance to strike but you did so marvelously. To future couples checking out RJ’s work to choose a wedding photographer or to any aspiring photographers looking for “the way”, you’ve found the right spot and the right guy: a creative genius, a helpless romantic, a fearless explorer, an eager teacher, a humble student, a compassionate photographer and a genuine friend. I’ve known RJ since 1994 and I know he is all of these things to long time friends and to those he’s meeting for the first time. RJ, we could not be more happy with the photos you captured, the love you shared and the priceless contribution you made to our wedding just by being there. Our deepest thanks for your friendship and our best wishes and highest expectations for the glorious future that you have worked so hard to carve out that is before you. Be well my friend and all our love to you and your future bride! Ciao!
