monumental white sands

white sands national monument is one of those places rj has been jonesin' (pronouced jones-n, meaning "really wanting") to trek for some time. he got a chance last week. clean, beautiful light is what inspired black & white landscape photographer ansel adams to do great work. the similar light inspire these images.... the film 'transformers' was filmed there, which created an additional impetus as well.
