when colgate university alum buddy, alex, found his way to denver recently, we met up for a killer good time and whipped up a little portrait session to try out some new tricks. since r. j. has known alex for more than a decade and was groomsman in our wedding, he was well prepared for what we had in store. alex grew up in a small village near kiev, russia, which was a strong inspiration for our mood. he came to the u.s. when he was 13 and went on to graduate with an mba from columbia university. we met up at our favorite shooting place and dash's favorite off-leash training grounds, green mountain park in lakewood.
